Transition to Canvas

Starting Summer 2013, Blackboard will no longer be used to teach classes at UW Bothell. Canvas is the primary learning management system that will be used on campus. To learn more about using Canvas for teaching and learning, go to:

Throughout the remainder of this calendar year, students and faculty should retrieve any data (course files, documents, grades, etc.) from Blackboard. On December 31st, 2013, UWB IT will shut down the Blackboard servers and all Blackboard content will be permanently unavailable.

Prepare Yourself

• Start familiarizing yourself with Canvas, using the tutorials provided by UW Bothell Learning Technologies
• Back up any of your data on Blackboard that you wish to preserve
