IT offers a service to provide temporary access to UW Bothell computing resources via temporary UWBIDs. Temporary UWBIDs provide the same resources (email, file server access, computer logon, etc.) as permanent UWBIDs--except that they expire after 30 days.

Some reasons to request an Temporary UWBID may include:

  • You are working with a vendor or contractor for short period and want that person to have access to a UWB email account and shared calendar(s)
  • You are requesting a permanent UWBID for a new employee, but don't have all the necessary information about that employee (such as UW Net ID, office phone number, etc.) to place the request. A Temporary UWBID will provide the new employee with access until you get all information.
  • You are collaborating on a project with a colleague from UW Seattle or Tacoma and doing much of the project work on the Bothell campus.

Staff, Faculty, Students, Volunteers, and other collaborators must have a valid UW Net ID
