Business Hour Service Support
Normal Hours of Operation: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Network Operations personnel are normally available “on-site” during these times and are available to service all related requests. This assumes non-holiday, non-weather related schedules and can also be shortened by illness or vacation schedules.
Network Operations personnel provide a reasonable effort service to the University of Washington Bothell. That includes response support to all enterprise operations services, however PRI-3, PRI-4 services and SEV-3 and SEV-4 outages may only qualify for support during normal business hours. Business Hour Service Support is normally available Monday-Friday during NetOps staffing hours 08:00-18:00. Exceptions to this coverage will only occur in extreme or unforeseen circumstances (weather, illness, disaster, etc.).
NetOps monitors core services and responds to automatic paging in the event of a service disruption on monitored services. During IT Helpdesk businesshours, please contact the IT Helpdesk to begin triage and escalation before contacting NetOps. In the case where a PRI-3, PRI-4 service or a SEV-3, SEV-4 response service is down/disrupted, and NetOps has not been notified, NetOps staff members should be contacted with a ticket and appropriate escalation as determined by the IT Helpdesk Lead. IT Helpdesk or IT Lead should expect a phone response within 10-15 minutes after paging NetOps oncall staff.
During business hours, when a staff member responds to the request, they will ask the contact for all available information and testing conducted to verify the issue and attempt to solve the problem immediately from their location. Your patience is appreciated.
