Fun on the 4th

UW Bothell students, faculty and staff recently participated in the Bothell 4th of July parade, in a Husky-mobile, themed “Construct Your Future at UW Bothell.” The event was a great success, drawing a crowd of thousands in spirited celebration. Legacy Award

UW Bothell has named Douglas and Barbara Allan as recipients of the 2010 UW Bothell Legacy Award, a special award honoring the Allans continued commitment to student learning and success.

Doug and Barbara are long-time Huskies and strong supporters of UW Bothell, creating the Douglas and Barbara Allan Student Support Endowment. This endowment provides assistance to business students at UW Bothell by funding activities that occur outside of the classroom, allowing students to attend conferences, participate in competitions and other activities.

The Allan’s received their award at the 2010 Chancellor’s Reception, held at Chateau St. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA.

5K Run-Walk

In May 2010, the Alumni Council, in collaboration with the Business Program, sponsored their 5th 5K Run-Walk to benefit student scholarships. The day was a great success with 344 participants and over $8,000 raised.
