Located on the first floor of Discovery Hall, it is designed as a place where students can work in teams and individually on projects for their curricular and co-curricular endeavors. The space is designed to be a creative environment with the equipment students need for both group and makerspace activities.
EVENT: Shoddy Film Festival - Halloween Edition!
Miss the days of shoddy class project movies? Want to try your hand at putting together a fun film with your friends? Register now for the Shoddy Short Film Festival, hosted by the UWB Makerspace!
Your challenge is to put together a 4-5 minute, Halloween themed short film with your 3-6 person team. You have week from kickoff on Friday, October 21st to make props and costumes in the makerspace, video record, and edit your films into a final creative masterpiece. Don't have a DSLR or tripod? No problem! The rules are designed to level the playing field, and focus the event on your creativity. A team filming entirely with cell phones has just as much of a chance at winning as any other team! For more information, check out the event site here.
