ASUWB Student of the Month
ASUWB Student Government selected Cultural Studies studnet Concetta Leggio as the November 2014 Student of the Month Award recipient. Concetta is the Events Director of the new Student Philanthropy Education Program, a student group with the mission of educating students about the importance of private support and philanthropy on higher education. Concetta was instrumental in rallying the student volunteers for the W Day celebration on campus, and also deeply involved with the logistics and planning of the Veterans Appreciation Open House, serving on the tri-campus Veteran’s Appreciation Committee that planned events on all three campuses to honor veterans. She worked on all of the behind-the-scenes details, and as a veteran herself, she helped the Director of Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy to put together a program that would resonate with the veterans on our campus. Congratulations Concetta!
