October 27, 2014 – Co-directed by IAS Faculty member Alka Kurian, the 9th Seattle South Asian Film Festival (SSAFF) is organized in collaboration with UW Bothell, Cascadia Community College and Roxy Cinema, Renton. The festival will run from October 31 – November 9, 2014, bringing some of the most radical and innovative films on gender, human rights, LGBT issues, education, and the environment coming out of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to UW Bothell and the Seattle area.
