October 27, 2014 - IAS faculty member Johanna Crane gave an invited talk on “The Indirect Costs of Global Health: Administrative Labor and Invisibility in Global Health Science” in the Department of Anthropology at Brown University.  The talk surfaced the power dynamics inherent to the “boring,” shadow side of global health science, where stakes are measured not in life and death, or even in scientific discovery, but in paperwork and conference calls.
