June 17, 2014 - IAS’s MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics hosted its 2014 Spring Festival on June 7, featuring readings by its inaugural graduating class of 18 writers and guest artist CAConrad. Readings reflected diverse thesis work propelled by students’ inquiries into poetics, or why we write how we write.  Several works crossed genres as well as art media bearing such arresting titles as Tales from Here and There, A~Mash~Up:  A Poetics of Defiance in the Age of the internet of Everything, The Chirugeon, Read Without Listening, A Poetics of Miscommunication, and Quivering Tongues.
