April 23, 2014 - IAS faculty members Warren Gold and Gwen Ottinger are among the co-authors of an article recently published in Currents in Teaching and Learning: "Interdisciplinary Community-Based Research with Disciplinary Expertise: Bridging Two (or More) Cultures in Undergraduate Projects." The article presents strategies for instructors leading students in interdisciplinary community-based research projects that require knowledge or methods from disciplines in which they themselves are not trained, and recommends institutional changes that could help foster those projects.
