IAS MFA students make a splash at the Association of Writers & Writing Programs conference

March 4, 2014 - Graduate students and faculty members in IAS’s MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics made a splash at the Association of Writers & Writing Programs conference in Seattle.  MFA students launched Small Portions, a student-run journal, and an interactive art/text project Blood of an Author Box in Homage to Eleanor Antin's Blood of a Poet Box.  The latter project asked AWP conference-goers and participants to record a word on a blood stain slide, with the goal of collecting single words from each author in order to find something singular in the word that is also common among us.
