February 13, 2014 - IAS faculty member Ron Krabill gave a public lecture and facilitated a discussion of “Nelson Mandela and his Legacy” at the University of Washington Tacoma.  The talk was featured as part of a seminar series on the Middle East and Africa.  It focused on Mandela’s impact on South African politics under apartheid, during the democratic transition, and today.  In separate news, Krabill will be participating in Humanities Advocacy Day in Washington DC this month.
