January 23, 2014 - IAS faculty member Jill Freidberg, along with librarian Nia Lam and curator Denise Hattwig, launched the Community Voices Collection, an archive of oral histories conducted by - and with - University of Washington Bothell students, staff, faculty, and community members.  Built and hosted by the UW Bothell Campus Library, the collection includes histories of international students, students with disabilities, founders of UWave Radio, staff who maintain campus facilities, and more. Students in Freidberg’s BISMCS 343 Digital Oral History course researched the oral histories and conceptualized the project, which will expand as more oral histories are conducted and the site is further developed.
