January 17, 2014 - Suzanne M. Cohen, Cultural Studies student (2015) and managing artistic director of Mirror Stage theater, presents the West Coast debut of “Honky,” a play by Greg Kalleres, February 8 and 9 at the Ethnic Cultural Theater as part of the Feed Your Mind series.  Mirror Stage uses the power of theatre to challenge assumptions, bias, and prejudice, while encouraging more thoughtful reflection on today’s issues. The Feed Your Mind series presents plays in stripped-down form—just the actors and the text—and facilitates in-depth discussion with audience and artists following each performance.  Acclaimed as “witty, sharp, and troubling,” “Honky”  engages a multi-racial cast in a satiric look at the confluence of racism and commercialism. Tickets and more information are available at www.mirrorstage.org.
