Thea Quiray Tagle

IAS faculty member Thea Quiray Tagle has curated a solo exhibition of artwork by Iranian-Muslim multidisciplinary artist Minoosh Zomorodinia, titled "Colonial Walk." The show opened on January 27 at Feast Arts Center (Tacoma, WA) and runs through March 10. Quiray Tagle also hosted a hybrid performance-artist talk by Zomorodinia, which was open to the public and held at UW Bothell on January 25.

Students from Quiray Tagle's and Anida Yoeu Ali's co-taught Discovery Core class, "Another World is Possible: Community Building Through Socially Engaged Art," will be producing creative responses to Zomorodinia's artwork; these student works will be displayed alongside "Colonial Walk" at Feast Arts Center from February 18 through the closing reception on March 10.

City Arts Magazine and Tacoma Weekly have favorably profiled the artist and curator.
