This is an exciting opportunity for an amazing student affairs professional who is ready to make a real impact in a new housing program. Being part of the University of Washington system, UW Bothell is proud to be a diverse, fast-growing campus. We have been recognized nationally for the educational opportunities and access to education we provide.

A Little History

Student housing opened its doors in fall 2009 with a small leased apartment building with 40 beds just a short walk from campus. In 2011, the university purchased an apartment complex adjacent to campus. After renovations, Husky Village opened for students in fall 2011. Today, in addition to Husky Village (230 beds) we also master lease an apartment building with 40 additional bed.

UW Bothell is in the initial planning stages of building a 500 bed residence hall to expand living opportunities for students. The plan is to build more traditional housing to compliment our apartment-style halls. The building is also set to include a dining hall and other amenities.

Residential Life Team
Our team consists of four dedicated professional staff members, two Resident Directors, a Assistant Director and a Director. We have ten Resident Advisors who work build community and mentor residents. Community Assistants are students who run the front desk of the Community Center at Husky Village. We work closely with our Housing Operations Manager to manage occupancy and the facility.

The Program
While our current halls are apartment-style, our residents are primarily first-year students and our programming model reflects the needs of first-year and returning students through sequenced learning outcomes. The Residential Life program is in its fifth year at UW Bothell, but we have grown quickly to meet student need.

This last academic year we implemented a Residential Curriculum Model. We have developed an educational goals and learning outcomes which guide everything we do in Residential Life. This position will be responsible for continuing the implementation and development of the residential curriculum which will further enhance the learning for our residents.

Due to the high demand for student housing, we will be introducing a triple bedroom option next year. Our team will be working together to develop strategies that ensure our residents still have an excellent experience living on campus.
