Resident Advisor (RA)

The Resident Advisor (RA) position is a live-in position within the University of Washington Bothell. Under the direct supervision of the Resident Director, the RA established a cohesive and responsible community in his/her designated area by modeling and supporting issues related to diversity, facilitating the holistic development of residents through programming, refering, advising and supporting residents as they deal with academic and personal issues.  RA's are expected to enforce and abide by the policies of the Office of Student Life and the University of Washington as well as Washington State and federal laws in the residence halls, demonstrate sound judgment, participate in and facilitates a team approach with coworkers, complete necessary administrative tasks and provide appropriate customer service to students and visitors.

Compensation: RA's are paid as a rate equal to a double-room in either Husky Village or Campus View and receive a $300 stipend each month. Contact Rachel Rodney at rrodney@uwb.edu for more information.

Community Assistant (CA)

The Community Assistant (CA) is the primary contact with residents at the Community Center at Husky Village front desk. CAs work assigned hours each week staffing the desk and assisting current residents, their guests, visitors and the Residential Life professional staff. The primary responsibilities include answering walk-up and telephone inquiries, completing paperwork and forms, checking out equipment at the front desk, and issuing keys and parking passes. While at the desk, CAs may also accept deliveries and sort mail, complete basic housekeeping tasks and assist with student lock-outs. Click here to view the full job description.
