Academic Connections Worldwide

Many courses across the UW Bothell curriculum and the research of our faculty emphasize a global perspective. One of our signature programs it the UW COIL Initiative, an effort to deepen global engagement of students in the classroom, without requiring travel abroad, by implementing online collaboration with international partners. We were recently  Above: Students in BCUSP 131: Social Media and Global Change engaged with peers from the Central University of Tibetan Studies in Varenasi, India.

UW COIL Fellows

Eight faculty from all three UW campuses and a variety of disciplines were awarded $2,000 to support development of a course utilizing the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) approach during 2014-15. A second cohort of fellows will be awarded for 2015-16 Read more...
