Spotlight: Global Classroom
During the month of July, the UWB School of Business hosts MBA students, faculty and administrators from around the world as part of its Global Classroom program. In previous years, international participants have come from: Bombay and Bangalore in India; Bergamo, Italy; Casablanca, Morocco; and Oradea, Romania. The program includes lectures, company visits - to the Gates Foundation, pictured above, among others - and cultural activities. The theme for 2013 is “Becoming a Global Value Creator.” Applications are due April 15.
International Visitors at UWB
Global Initiatives' efforts to build new international partnerships involves interesting visits from partners around the world. During fall 2012, we hosted visitors from: Beijing Jiaotong University in Beijing, China; the University of Leon in Leon, Spain; Kwansei Gakuin University in Nishinomiya, Japan; and several universities in Indonesia. This winter, we engaged with two groups from Ehime University, our existing partner in Japan. Pictured above: Gray Kochhar-Lindren with Jose Luis Chamosa, Vice Rector of the University of Leon.
