Academic and Professional Testing Policies:
  • Course-repeats are not an option given the cohort model (pre-set schedule) and timeline to enter the nursing program at Everett Community College.
  • If any of the academic or professional requirements are not met, the student is no longer eligible to remain in the program as a pre-admitted EvCC Nursing and UWB RN to BSN student. If this happens, the student would need to compete for admissions into Everett Nursing Program or any other associate degree nursing program and then back into the RN to BSN degree program at UW Bothell.
  • If a student does not meet the degree program requirements, yet is in good academic standing with the University, they retain their general admissions status as a pre-major student.
Academic Monitoring
  1. During the first five quarters, a student that earns a cumulative or quarterly GPA that falls below 3.0 will be placed on academic program probation and sent a letter of concern by the BSN academic advisor and asked to make an appointment.
  2. At the end of a student’s first academic year, the BSN nursing admission committee meets to discuss the progress of all students in the degree program. If deemed needed, a letter of concern will be mailed to the student.
