Curriculum

The sequence/schedule of the coursework is pre-set and courses are currently offered only once per year.

Academic and Professional Testing Policies:
  • Course-repeats are not currently an option given the cohort model (pre-set schedule) and timeline to enter the nursing program at Everett Community College.
  • If any of the academic or professional requirements are not met, the student is no longer eligible to remain in the program as a pre-admitted EvCC Nursing and UWB RN to BSN student. If this happens, the student would need to compete for admissions into Everett Nursing Program or any other nursing program.  Students are encouraged to apply to the RN to BSN degree program at UW Bothell, upon completion of the Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • If a student does not meet the degree program requirements, yet is in good academic standing with the University, they retain their general admissions status as a pre-major student.
Academic Monitoring
  1. Any student that earns a cumulative or quarterly GPA that falls below 3.0 will be placed on academic program probation.
  2. Any student that earns a grade less than 3.0 in the Biology science sequence will be placed on academic probation and is no longer guaranteed a seat in the nursing program.
  3. All students on academic probation, will be sent a letter from the FY Nursing Committee and the student will be required to meet with their academic advisor to make a plan for success.
