August Scholarships

Every month, CollegeMapper offers high school students a chance to apply for a $500 scholarship to their intended school of study.  To be eligible for this contest you must be currently enrolled at a high school in the United States and plan to attend a college or university in the United States. Graduate Programs Scholarship
Graduate Programs will award $1,000 scholarships to current graduate students and $1,000 toward student loan payments for recent grads within the last five years. To apply, Rate and Review your graduate school program on our website and enter our quarterly scholarship drawing.

Innovation in Education Scholarship
We at LA Tutors are passionate about sparking the creative genius in students and would love to commend those outstanding students who have a made a difference in the lives of others in some innovative or technological fashion.  In order to achieve this, we have established a scholarship for students who meet certain criteria that are listed on our web page.  All submissions must be uploaded no later than 11:59 pm PST on the 20th of each month. The submission window closes starting the 21st and will reopen on the 1st at 8:00 a.m.

Student Design Competitions
Autodesk proudly sponsors competitions around the world. Our goal is to help advance student's knowledge and skills through challenges that inspire and prepare them for promising careers in architecture, engineering, and the digital arts.  Check out the design competitions on-line and see how you can get involved!

Scholarships for Minority Students
Minority students may have unexpected barriers to cross when looking for scholarships. Here under number 7 is compiled list of 100 minority scholarships, which are sortable by subject area and award amount.  Short details are offered about each scholarship, but by clicking on the associated URL, you will discover more guidelines specified for application. Deadline varies.

To be eligible for this award student must plan to enter a university in pursuit of a 4 year degree.

Avomeen’s Science Student Award
Our scholarship is available for current college students pursuing a career in science. Incoming, full-time and part-time students are eligible, but you need to be currently enrolled to apply. Any previously awarded scholarships or monetary prizes have no bearing on this scholarship award.To verify enrollment your transcript should be scanned and sent to  Incoming students can submit their acceptance letter or other any official form that documents their future college attendance.
Deadline: April 1st and August 1st every year.

Race Entry Student Scholarship
Race Entry supports students of all disciplines who pursue self-improvement and enhanced health through race preparation and participation. Beginning in 2014, Race Entry is offering a $500 scholarship to the winner of our annual “Race to Inspire” essay contest. Many people have different reasons for running in a race. We want to hear & share your inspiring story. All applications must be submitted between January 1 and August 15 to be included in the contest of the same year.

Guiding Light Scholarship
We’ve all had a time in our lives when we’ve needed a little guidance. We want to know who has helped you see or has led you down the right path. Whether it’s a teacher, family member, or friend. We want to hear about it and shine some light on the person who has been influential to you. We will choose a winner to receive a $500 tuition scholarship once a year.

Emergency Stain Removal Graphic Scholarship
This graphic design-centric scholarship asks you to create a graphic that explains your genius way to remove 1-3 kinds of stains from carpet, upholstery, or other surfaces. You might focus on the kinds of stain removal that are useful to students: how to get coffee out of carpet, how to get beer out of upholstery, etc.  It’s perfectly okay to feature only one kind of stain removal; you may feature up to three, but more is not necessarily better.  We will give extra attention to submissions with unusual stain removal tactics. The most important criterion, though, is fantastic graphic design.

Auto Accident Law Firm Survivor Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have sustained injuries from a car accident, truck accident, or been affected by someone else’s accident, be enrolled in an accredited college or university within the United States. Graduate and Law School students are encouraged to apply, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.

Albertson & Davidson, LLP Offering $2,500 College Scholarship
The Albertson & Davidson, LLP College Scholarship is open to individuals who are currently attending or are planning on attending an accredited United States college or university during the fall 2016 semester.

The Zeiger Firm $1,000 Bi-Annual College Scholarship Essay Contest
The rising cost of obtaining a college education has made it increasingly difficult for many students and families to realize their dreams of earning a college degree. As an attorney, Brian Zeiger understands the value of education as well as the financial strain that being a student can often entail. In an effort to help students meet their financial needs, his firm is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to each winner of the biannual Brian Zeiger college scholarship essay contest.

The Law Offices of Joel J. Kofsky Scholarship 2016
We believe that a good education is a valuable investment for the future and that financial limitations should not be a barrier to achieving that goal. To that end, we are pleased to provide financial assistance for students who are currently attending or are planning to attend college or graduate school. We will be offering a $1500 scholarship, beginning in the year 2016, which we will award to a student to aid with their college or graduate school costs.

Albertson & Davidson, LLP Offering $2,500 College Scholarship
At the law firm of Albertson & Davidson, LLP we understand that obtaining an education is the pathway to success for many young Americans. As attorneys, we all have earned both undergraduate degrees as well as successfully completed a rigorous three-year Juris Doctorate before being even eligible to sit for the California Bar Exam. Through these experiences, we have come to understand the often significant financial burdens associated with obtaining an education beyond high school, which is why we are pleased to announce that we will be awarding $2,500 college scholarship to the winner of our newly created essay contest. By creating this award, we hope to help the next generation of students realize their educational and professional goals.

Sleeping Angels Co. Scholarship Program
Sleeping Angels Co. cares not only about families and parents, but also wants to plan for the future. To aide with this Sleeping Angels Co. has set up a scholarship for college students. This is to help offset the expensive costs of higher education, while remaining focused on their education and not how to pay off their education.
Deadline: by 11:59 pm PST on the 30th of each month.

The Clubs of America Scholarship Award for Career Success
This $1000 annual scholarship will help students consider their aspirations as well as ease the burden of the costs of higher education. Clubs of America proudly invites all eligible students to apply by writing an essay about how their current courses will help them achieve success in their careers.
