Requirements to complete the Bachelor's degree in Educational Studies

Students must complete a total of 180 credits to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies. Below are the requirements for students in the Educational Leadership, Policy & Social Justice concentration or the Curriculum, Instruction & Equity concentration:

  • English composition (5 credits prior to declaring the major)
  • Educational Studies Core (20 credits)
  • Educational Studies electives focused on your concentration area (25 credits):
    • Educational Leadership, Policy, and Social Justice list
    • Curricuum Instruction and Equity list
  • Electives from other departments focused on your concentration area (25 credits)
    • Educational Leadership, Policy, and Social Justice list
    • Curriculum Instruction and Equity list
  • Applied experience (5 credits)
  • Capstone project (5 credits)

In addition to the above requirements, students will need to complete the UW Bothell baccalaureate level graduation requirements.
