1. Completion
of an approved Reading Endorsement course of study (24 course credits).
2. Successful
certification on the Reading Praxis Examination (covers the first five
OSPI areas of competency).
Washington State's Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), the primary agency charged with overseeing K-12 education, requires specific academic courses for each of the following six paths toward the reading endorsement:
