Study Abroad Opportunity - Thailand

Study Abroad LogoWant to trek in Northern Thailand? See Angkor Wat? Take a boat on the Mekong River? Ride an elephant? Eat tremendous Thai food?  And earn 12 CUSP credits in the process?

Well you can! James Reinnoldt and Prof Tasha Butler will direct the UWB CUSP Program to Thailand and Cambodia during the Spring Quarter of 2014 from April 01 through June 6th.  The application deadline is November 15 and space is limited.  Financial Aid is available!

Día de los Muertos Celebration

day of the deadCome participate with our interactive display of Día de los Muertos. Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to bring mementos and photos of deceased loved ones.

The Spanish program at University of Washington Bothell will be constructing an ofrenda at the  Food for Thought on October 31st from 12:00am – 3:00pm

This will be a participatory altar for the campus community. Feel free to add mementos and photographs to honor deceased loved ones.

DO NOT bring the only copy of your favorite photo. To ensure nothing precious gets lost, we will only accept photocopies or spare reprints.

First Year Advising Appointment : If this is your first quarter at UW Bothell, make sure to sign up for your First Year Advising Appointment before November 20th! Check your email to see which advisor you have been assigned to.

Eastside Leadership Center: Info Session

Earn your Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration at the Eastside Leadership Center. This University of Washington Bothell School of Business Program offers undergraduates a two-year cohort program which allows them to complete their degree in approximately two years.

The Eastside Leadership Center (ELC) is part of the University of Washington Bothell’s School of Business. Located in Bellevue, WA, the ELC is home to the University of Washington Bothell Leadership MBA program and the BA in Business program. The UW Bothell School of Business also holds its executive education programs at this fully equipped campus building that has high-tech classrooms, student lounges, conference facility and faculty offices.

The ELC is conveniently located at 2515 140th Ave. NE in Bellevue, right off the 148th Ave exit on SR- 520. The convenient location allows residents of Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond and Issaquah or people who work in these cities to drive to day and evening classes without getting on to I-405 or SR-520 at peak driving times.

UW Bothell Speech and Debate

UW Bothell Speech and Debate had an extremely successful tournament at the Steve Hunt Classic Tournament at Lewis and Clark College last weekend. This major regional tournament hosts 43 schools and hundreds is students.  Sweepstakes awards are posted at

Congratulations to Wendy Rich Davis (CP) and Kathryn Stanley for Second Place in Novice Division NPDA! Congratulations also to Matthew Bennett (engineering) and Jacob Landsberg (Business) Octofinalists in Open Division NPDA!  Kathryn Stanley also won 8th Speaker in Novice Division NPDA and Wendy Rich Davis win 7th Speaker in Novice Division NPDA.  Over 40 schools competed and UW Bothell placed 17th overall.

Congratulations to the whole team! We are lucky to have exceptionally talented and hard working students represent us. As always, every student stayed to the end preparing our finalists and supporting the team. They represented us well.
