Believe it or not, it’s very common to feel overwhelmed with day to day life, to have a hard time adjusting to the college experience, or to be dealing with a significant loss. Many students are meeting with counselors who can help you work through this difficult time.

Personal, confidential counseling

This is included in your tuition and there is no limit to the number of times you can meet with them. UW Bothell counselors can help with a wide range of personal concerns.

On-line screening is available for depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, alcohol, and eating disorders. At the login screen enter keyword: "UW BOTHELL"

When should you seek counseling?

Students are welcome to call and make an appointment with a counselor when they feel they need help in resolving a personal problem, want to explore personal growth issues or need additional support.

What kinds of problems do students seek help with?

Will everything be kept confidential?

All appointments are kept confidential except that information which a counselor is required to report by law (i.e., child abuse, suicide or homicide intent, etc.). Counseling appointments are not a part of a student's transcripts.
