We have something exciting to share with you that will make your transition into your second year worth every tuition penny spent!

There is a new fair coming up called Pathways to Academic Engagement.

Why should you be excited about this? It’s an interactive opportunity fair designed to put you in the driver seat of your life. There are millions of careers out there and this fair can help you start thinking about the right path for you.

“How to Graduate College With a Job You Love and Less Debt.”

In anticipation for this awesome fair, check out this quick Ted Talk

In this video, Jullien Gordon addresses questions and concerns such as:

  • How would you invest 4 years of time if life depended on it?
  • How well do you know yourself?
  • The 4.0 that really matters isn’t a grade.
  • College is an investment in a dream, not a job guarantee.
  • You are buying an experience, not just an education.

The Pathways website

This link has a list of opportunities that will be featured at the Pathways event. These opportunities will allow you to connect with courses that connect your interests with professional development.

Check out our website full of second year resources and keep an eye out for more information about the Pathways event.

Remember, your professors are here to serve you and your educational needs. Meet them during office hours to ask questions about course material and get to know them! It will help you stay on top of assignments and you will be building important relationships as well.
