* September 30th - First Day of classes
Welcome and congratulations on your acceptance to UW Bothell!
You are about to begin a journey full of exploration and discovery. Don’t miss our weekly emails full of tips to help guide you through your first year as a college student.
Your first year as a college student will be challenging and exciting.
It is an opportunity to reveal your passions and a gateway to your future. Remember, it’s not a race. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t know what you would like to study, or even what careers interest you. Exploring your interests and finding subjects for which you are passionate is what this first year is all about. Together, we will travel through your first year at our University and before you know it, you will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree. How cool is that?
Let’s get a head start on the quarter by setting up your email.
This is important for your success here at UW Bothell. All major communications, including information from your professors will be sent to your UW email address.
We will set up this account to forward these important messages to an email you frequently check.
Log into http://myuw.washington.edu. If you can’t remember your NetID or password, visit https://uwnetid.washington.edu/newid/
On the left hand side under ‘MyFrontPage’ click on ‘Email’
Click on the link that says ‘Change Email Forwarding’
Enter an email address that you check frequently and save by clicking
‘OK’ at the bottom
After you’ve set up your email, take a moment to reflect on the achievements you’ve already accomplished and congratulate yourself on making the decision to get a college education. Let’s make this first quarter a success!
What’s Welcome Week?
Welcome Week is a week of events put on by various departments on campus to help you get acquainted with your campus. Some events are designed to help you network while others are more of a celebration to mark the beginning of the school year. For a full list of the events for this year, click here.
