Fall First Year Advising

Fall First Year Advising

We hope your quarter is off to a great start!  Your Fall First Year Advising appointment is designed to allow your advisor to get to know you, answer your questions, and make sure you are ready for Winter Quarter Registration.  You should plan for a 30 minute appointment with your assigned advisor.

How do I make my appointment?

Check your email for the name of your assigned advisor and instructions on how to make your appointment.  It is very important that you follow the instructions and meet only with your assigned advisor.

What if I don’t receive an email?

  1. Check your UW email account.
  2. If you are forwarding your UW email account, make sure it is forwarded to the correct account and make sure your email box is not full.
  3. You may contact the First Year and Pre-Major Program Office (CUSP) Office at cuspadvisng@uwb.edu  or 425-352-3427.

When will Fall First Year advising take place?

October 16 to November 20.

How can I prepare for my appointment?

Review the Winter 2014 Time Schedule to have an idea of what courses you might want to take.  Download, print and complete the 'Schedule Planner’.  If you don’t know what classes to choose, no worries, we will work with you during your appointment.

May I come in during Quick Question Hours for my First Year Fall Advising Appointment?

No, unfortunately Quick Questions are for 10 minute appointments only.  You appointment will take 30 minutes.

What happens if I do not meet with my advisor?

You will not be able to register on your registration date and a hold will remain on your record until you meet with your advisor.

Remember don’t wait until the last minute.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call First Year and Pre-Major Program (CUSP) Office at cuspadvisng@uwb.edu or 425-352-3427.
