Dr. Virginia C. Broudy is the Chief of Medicine at Harborview Medical Center, and Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Medicine at UW Seattle. She has also served as the Chief, Section of Hematology, Department of Medicine, at Harborview Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Broudy has been appointed Scripps Professor of Hematology. She has regularly been voted one of Seattle’s Top Doctors, Seattle Magazine; Best Doctors, Seattle Metropolitan; and Best Doctors in America, has received numerous other honors and awards and been on the editorial boards of many medical publications, as well as held positions in various nationwide medical organizations and governmental agencies. She is on the Board of Trustees of the Puget Sound Blood Center and the Northwest Kidney Centers. Her educational background includes a B.A. in Biochemistry from Harvard University, where she graduated cum laude, and an M.D. from the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Broudy has also been granted several patents, and has been the author of an impressive number of basic science research articles.
