Capstone Pre-Proposal and Advisor Nomination Form

After exploring the interests and availability of all Cultural Studies faculty and evaluating their own methodology and documentation interests, students should identify three Capstone Advisor candidates and rank them in order of preference. Students ought to make effective use of their Portfolio Advisors, course faculty, and other students in this process and should be guided by their interests and questions. Although students’ rankings are heavily weighted, two other key factors will be considered in the final capstone advisor assignment: 1) current faculty availability and advising loads; and, 2) assessment of "fit" between faculty research interests and student goals.
