Using the Calendar in Outlook Web Access 2003

One of the reasons that people use Microsoft Exchange as their email system is the way that Outlook email and calendaring are so well-integrated. For those who have used Outlook here at the UWB, you will find that Outlook Web Access's (OWA) Calendaring features are just as good.

You can access your calendar by clicking on the Calendar option on the bottom-left hand corner:

Once you click on that, you will see a window like this:

The large window is the day(s) you have selected to look at, while the smaller box on the right is the calendar for the given month. You can choose to look at different months or days by clicking on the small black arrows to move to a different month, or by clicking on the day you want to look at.

Also, notice the menu bar at the top:

You can choose to look at a whole week by click on the "7" button, or a whole month by clicking on the "31" button. If you want to make a new appointment, click on New and you will see a window like this:

From here, the functionality is nearly identical to making appointments in Outlook. You can choose the day/time to make the appointments, set a recurring appointment, and also invite attendees to an appointment. Once you've finished, click on "Save and Close" and the appointment will appear:
