Commencement

Eligibility

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements below may participate and register for the ceremony through the Registration/Online Form from May 5-25. Late registration begins May 26-31.  A $20.00 late fee will be applied.

Registration/Order Form

Bachelor Candidates

Students who earned a degree in Autumn 2013 or Winter 2014, or have applied to graduate with a departmental advisor for Spring 2014 or Summer 2014 are eligible to participate. Once the application for graduation has been completed and received by the UW Bothell Registrar's Office (425-352-5240), students will then be eligible to complete the Registration/Online Form.

Master Candidates

Graduates who earned their degrees in Autumn 2013 or Winter 2014, or candidates who have a reasonable expectation of graduating in Spring 2014 or Summer 2014, are eligible to participate.

Teacher Certification Candidates

Students who have completed the Teacher Certification Program in Spring 2014, are eligible to participate.

Honors

Honor cords are awarded to undergraduate students who graduated or will be graduating with baccalaureate honors (Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude).

Faculty honors are awarded upon graduation to undergraduates earning their first bachelor's degree and ranked in the top 10% of their respective program.

All honors will only be awarded if students meet the honor GPA and appropriate credit requirements at the end of Winter Quarter 2014. You may check the requirements for all honors information.

Students may purchase their honor cords through the Registration/Online Form beginning May 5, 2014.

The Commencement program lists the names of graduates from Autumn 2013 through Summer 2014.

Diplomas

Students receive their diploma three to four months after the quarter in which they have graduated. The diploma is mailed to the permanent address on file with the Office of the Registrar.
