UW Bothell Initiatives Group
Strategic proposals with an institutional perspective
Chancellor Wolf Yeigh invites UW Bothell faculty, staff and students to think "big" by submitting great ideas that just need a little investment to take root.
Requests are for one-time funding only and must be eligible for funding under state budget guidelines. Long-term requests should be part of the university budget process. Requests may come from UW Bothell students, faculty or staff. Requests should explain the impact of the project and how it aligns with the campus mission and strategic goals.
Proposals should be submitted electronically to the UW Bothell Initiative Group (UWBIG), which meets monthly to consider proposals in accordance with the Chancellor’s guidelines. For this pilot year, a total of $50,000 is available to fund all projects. UWBIG contributions to most projects will not exceed $5,000. UWBIG is co-chaired by academic and administrative vice chancellors, and includes representation from administration, faculty, staff and students.
Members of the 2015-16 UWBIG committee:
Susan Jeffords, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (co-chair)
Ana Karaman, Vice Chancellor for Administration and Planning (co-chair)
