ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS ENRICHMENT CAMP
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The YMCA of Greater Seattle is a charitable, non-profit organization serving King and south Snohomish counties. For more than 131 years, the YMCA of Greater Seattle has provided safe and caring environments, positive role models, creative activities and opportunities to serve the needs of others. These are the essential building blocks for strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
Northshore YMCA and Northshore School District are working together to offer an enrichment camp for students who want extra support to work on their English language skills this summer. Students will have morning classes to build their reading, writing and oral language skills while doing fun activities and field trips in the afternoon. The program service students who completed 1st-6th grade this year and are currently enrolled in the ELL Program at Crystal Springs, Kenmore, Maywood, Westhill, Woodin or Woodmoor Elementary Schools.
WHEN:
Camp dates: The ELL Enrichment Camp runs from July 21st-August 8th, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Your commitment: For the days that you arrange to volunteer your time you would be expected to stay from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Orientation: YMCA volunteer orientation to the program will be on the UW Bothell campus, Thursday, June 26th at 4:00 pm.
