This position is very flexible and does not require much knowledge of computers. You can volunteer any afternoon (around 4:00pm - 6:00pm or 7:00pm) Monday through Friday.

Homework Help
Work with children on their homework for about two hours late in the afternoon Wednesdays at 6:30pm and Fridays at 4:00pm). Spanish speakers needed.
Child Care
Play with children one evening a month between 6:30pm - 8:30pm while parents are attending meeting. This is generally on the last Thursday of the month. Activities will be planned.

Help with group activity with children and parents on Monday afternoons (4:00pm - 5:30pm or 5:00pm - 7:00pm).

Be a group discussion leader one evening a month for parents living at the facility. Discussion topics will include things like attending school, budgeting, employment, domestic violence, immigration.
Case Management Intern
Learn some of the basics of case management by working as an intern. You will attend case management and staff meetings, do client intake and screening, write case notes, research resources.
Kenmore Family Shelter (Kenmore)
Organize towels and bedding supplies. This is only a one-time job.
Group Facilitator
Develop curriculum and present a series on parenting. The meetings would be either Monday or Thursday evenings for about an hour.
Overlake Child Development Center (Redmond)

Play with children (infants through age 5) and help teachers in the classrooms when needed. The center is open weekdays from 6:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening. Volunteers must have a TB test before starting.
Nurse
Volunteer once a month for 2 to 4 hours.
Kitchen Help
Help set out and deliver food and clean up after meals and snacks. Volunteers are needed any day Monday through Friday preferably between 7:00am - 9:30am and 2:00pm - 4:00pm in the afternoon. Hours are somewhat flexible.
