826 Seattle is a nonprofit writing and tutoring center dedicated to helping youth, ages 6 to 18, improve their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Our services are structured around our belief that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.

Youth Tutoring Program
Read with great kids this summer!
Do you love to read and write? Have you been looking for a way to help out in your neighborhood? Then we want you! The Youth Tutoring Program is currently looking for volunteer tutors for its Summer Reading Program. The Summer Reading Program is a 7 week (June 16th - July 31st) literacy-intensive program for students in grades 1-6 who are struggling in reading and writing. Volunteers work one-on-one with students on reading and writing skills, spelling, book reports and even get to take literacy-related field trips!
