ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNER ENRICHMENT CLASS FOR STUDENTS
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
826 Seattle is a nonprofit writing and tutoring center dedicated to helping youth, ages 6 to 18, improve their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Our services are structured around our belief that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.
In this 4 week language program, kids will be immersed in English language development. The program will consist of three classes: Reading, Writing and Project class. Students will actively engage in discussions about citizenship and democracy and have fun doing so by utilizing elements of performance and art. Program is open to students ages 11-16. English proficiency must be at the Intermediate or Beginner Level OR enrollment in an ELL class.
