Student Civic Fellows Program

The Student Civic Fellows are a small group of students from the University of Washington Bothell graduate and undergraduate programs. These students work as peer leaders and organizers of research, action, and education projects centered on community-based learning and social justice action.

Examples of the projects that the Student Civic Fellows are working on are: MLK Day, Cesar Chavez Day, researching the needs of our community-partners, leading presentations in community-based learning courses, Earth Day, Alternative Spring Break creating dialogues around service and power dynamics, and advocating and allies for human rights etc.

The Student Civic Fellows hold their positions for the entire academic year. They are compensated with quarterly stipends, are eligible for the Students in Service educational award of $1,132, and are supported through their term to develop and sharpen their leadership and organizing skills.

How to Apply: We are currently accepting resumes and official letters of interest for the program. Each Fellow’s position will be specifically tailored to their ability, interests, experience, and goals we will work together to define.
