COASST is a citizen science project of the University of Washington in partnership with state, tribal and federal agencies, environmental organizations, and community groups. COASST believes citizens of coastal communities are essential scientific partners in monitoring marine ecosystem health. By collaborating with citizens, natural resource management agencies and environmental organizations, COASST works to translate long-term monitoring into effective marine conservation solutions.
Western Washington
Food Lifeline is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger in Western Washington. Food Lifeline makes every penny count, and 94% of the food we receive from local, state and national contributors is donated.
Greater Seattle Area, WA Partnering with caring adults, girls design fun and challenging activities that empower them to discover, connect, and take action around issued that concern them. The Girl Scout mission is: girl scouting build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
In response to the crisis in our urban forests the Green Kirkland Partnership was created in 2005. The Green Kirkland partnership is an alliance between the City of Kirkland, non-profit partners and the community, with the mission to conserve and sustain natural areas for the benefit and enjoyment of current and future generations. The 20-year forest restoration plan outlines the program to restore 372 acres of Kirkland’s natural areas in 20 years through community, business, and City involvement. Volunteer groups meet in our parks every week to clear invasive plants, install native plants, water and mulch around newly planted areas.
East Side (Issaquah, Bellevue, Kirkland), WA Our organization seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. We seek to develop homes and communities in which people can live and grow.
Seattle, WA We promote greater understanding of the impact of Hanford's contamination among all stakeholders and facilitate discussions to develop the wisest cleanup plan -- replacing the short term, profit-driven policies that have ruled for decades. Our collaborative methodology strengthens relationships on both sides of an issue. Learning from multiple perspectives, we advocate with state and federal governments for smarter, safer priorities.

Bellevue, Seattle, Kent, WA The Jewish community understands what it is like to leave one’s home and resettle in a foreign land. That historic experience fuels our desire to help refugees and immigrants make a successful transition to self-sufficiency. The JFS Refugee & Immigrant Service Centers are staffed with professional case managers/job developers fluent in Cantonese, Hmong, Mandarin, Laotian, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Somali, Arabic, Farsi and Lithuanian. The culturally diverse staff is recruited directly from the ethnic communities we serve.

Woodinville, WA Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center's mission is to improve the bodies, minds and spirits of children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapy and to be an inspiration and educational resource to the therapeutic riding profession, both regionally and nationally.
Bothell, WA The mission of the Northshore Family Center is to build a stronger community where all families have the opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, access resources and make connections.
Bothell, WA The Northshore Senior Center is a local, non-profit organization affiliated with Senior Services of Seattle/King County of Washington state. Mobilizing the talent and dedication of 1,000 volunteers, and 5,000 members, the Center nourishes their senior family creating wellness of mind, body, and spirit for themselves and for others.

Around the Puget Sound Basin, WA We’re a citizens’ group established in 1991 to protect and restore the health of our land and waters through education and action. Our members, partners and volunteers are located throughout the Puget Sound basin.
Everett and Seattle, WA Planned Parenthood is the nation's leading sexual and reproductive healthcare provider and advocate. Planned Parenthood also works with partner organizations worldwide to improve the sexual health and well-being of individuals and families everywhere. The mission of Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest is to support the lifelong sexual health of women and men, and to foster a community where every child is a wanted child.
The Refugee Resettlement Office is a non-profit agency which provides immediate shelter, food and clothing to hundreds of refugees each year when they first arrive in the Seattle area. Our clients come from countries throughout the world, fleeing war, political oppresion and religious persecution. We assist in cultural adjustment, language, and the basics of day-to-day living. Our employment program helps many individuals obtain living-wage jobs and move promptly off the welfare rolls. We annually place an average of 300 people in new jobs.
Everett, WA The mission of the Task Force is to ensure the future of salmon in the Stillaguamish and Snohomish River and Island County watersheds. The Task Force is dedicated to the restoration of viable salmonid populations and their habitat in the Stillaguamish and Snohomish River watersheds, a combined land area of more than 2,400 square miles. We also work on behalf of the marine waters of Port Susan, Port Gardner Bay, Possession Sound, and Saratoga Passage south of Elger Bay.
