Lake Washington Watershed Internship Program (LWWIP) Stream Monitoring Coordinator Intern

Pacific Science Center – Bothell, WA

This intern’s primary responsibility will be planning and coordinating our monthly stream monitoring with local high school aged youth. The intern will be integral in helping Pacific Science Center and its partners in connecting Bothell area teens to their environment, teaching them basic data collection skills and stream monitoring techniques, contribute to a long term dataset and determine the most relevant data to collect and share.

A successful undergraduate student applicant will conduct research to determine locations and variables that high school volunteers can monitor in a long term study of UW Bothell wetlands in order to determine overall ecosystem health.

We are seeking an 18+ undergraduate student who has a background or interest in environmental science and working with high school students. Experience in environmental field work is required. Ideally, this research question would evolve into a multi year project.
