Mailroom Assistant - POSITION FILLED

Mailroom Assistant

Start date: Available immediately, year round including summer

Hours: 11:00am to 3:00pm is mandatory as this is the busiest time but work schedule can be flexible before and after these times. Hours estimated to be 12-19.5 per week.

**This position requires students to be available on Mon, Weds and Fri for the 2017 Fall Quarter **

Receive, sort and log incoming mail and packages.

Prepare mail for in-house delivery and store packages for pick-up or delivery.

Delivery of mail (backup to Mail Room Coordinator)

Maintain the package tracking system (for in-house pick-up or delivery).

Manage package notification to recipients and/or appropriate departmental personnel.

Staff mailroom (phones, deliveries, misc duties) during on campus mail delivery and in meetings.

General maintenance of mail areas including: light cleaning and office organization.

Occasional errands and duties as required including accessing whether mailroom equipment is in proper working order. (Car tires inflated and operational, delivery vehicles maintained, etc.)

Respond to service requests for paper and toners to copier machines as needed.

 

Requirements:

Must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.

Must have valid Washington Driver’s License

May operate university vehicles as required

Must possess the physical ability to do required work
