Marketing Project Internship

 

United Way of King County is looking for a Marketing Project Intern who will work within the Marketing Department in a variety of ways. Most notably, the Marketing Project Intern will support the Emerging Leaders program, United Way’s young professionals group, with project planning and logistics. They will also support other major United Way initiatives and events. The Marketing Project Intern with United Way will gain experience managing large-scale projects with a major non-profit organization – projects that marry two of the most in-demand professions today: managing corporate and community philanthropy and marketing to young professionals.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the management of Emerging Leaders volunteer projects, including project calendar and RSVP management, attendance tracking, and ensuring the database is kept up-to-date
  • Help with Emerging Leader project preparation and logistical planning
  • Provide input regarding projects and assist in strategic decision-making for the Emerging Leaders program
  • Support other United Way project initiatives (meeting planning, key stakeholder identification, discussion facilitation)
  • Manage aspects of major United Way events as needed

Qualifications:

  • Interested in non-profit work, project management, and/or marketing and communications
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • A self-starter that takes initiative
  • Flexible and able to prioritize responsibilities
