Position Description:

The Associated Students of the University of Washington Bothell (ASUWB) is looking for talented and motivated students to work with us through spring quarter to develop a mobile application for our general student body. The student will be supervised by the Director of Student Engagement and Activities and will have their day to day work coordinated by the ASUWB Director of Business Operations. 
The main responsibilities for this role are to design, code, test, and ultimately release an interactive app that spreads awareness of student discounts available to the general student body. Programmers will be tasked with creating the application from the ground up, ranging from designing the back end, to app design. The app will be centered on spreading awareness of local business discounts available for students.

• Able to commit at least 15 hours a week to work for the ASUWB in spring quarter. Student positions are capped at 19.5 hours a week.  
• Work in the Involvement and Leadership Office located in ARC 130.  
• Be a UW Bothell student enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate credits or 4 graduate credits, or in “on leave” status as defined by the university
• Program in Objective-C/Swift for iOS or Java for Android
• Database experience

An ideal candidate would: 
• Work well in collaboration with others. 
• Have an eye for UX/UI design.
• Seek opportunities to improve, quality and efficiencies from ideation to application. 
• Have at least 2+ years of formal or informal coding experience.
• Able to demonstrate prior achievements coding for iOS or Android 
• Be able to bring their own computer.

Pay: 15 hours per week at $15.43 per hour for spring quarter.
