Autumn Allen '07My Story
Autumn Allen graduated from UWB class of 2007 from the IAS program. She is currently working with the Washington Poison Center (a.k.a. Mr. Yuk!!!) as their Communications and Partnerships Manager. As their statewide and national spokesperson for their organization she relies heavily on the writing and communications skills she developed while attending UWB. Autumn visited the Career Center with a clear goal in mind- to obtain work in a capacity that included a public spokesperson role. Allen says, " I had a hard time narrowing all of my experiences into a package attractive to potential employers. But the Career Center really helped me focus and tailor my resume to the career I really wanted, and as a result, I nailed the prefect job for me!"
Autumn targeted her goals and realized them through crafting a tailored resume and researching the organizations and associations surrounding public speaking. Her work at Families and Friends of Violent Crime Victims for nearly five years, prepared her for this exciting career challenge. Additionally Autumn is preparing to enter graduate school to study Leadership and Organizational Development
