Finding the Right Fit
Student Staff Manager, Bastyr University Library
I briefly attended UW Seattle in the mid-nineties. But two years of school didn't give me a clear career direction, so I joined the fulltime workforce working in emergency medicine. I joined the Navy as a medic in 1999 and served until 2004. I took advantage of the GI bill to finish my bachelor's degree, and discovered the IAS program was a great fit. It was just what I was looking for. After graduation I worked in the UW Bothell Writing Center where I became interested in librarianship. I'm currently working at the Bastyr Library, where I am responsible for special projects and student staff.
