Graduating with a Degree in Society Ethics and Human Behavior and a Minor in Policy Studies wasn’t always what I wanted to do, but attending UW Bothell made the idea of doing anything a reality. The most wonderful experience was my opportunity to meet with the business world and make lasting connections, particularly my Boeing internship was the most memorable and influential experience. College provides the building blocks for basic skills needed in the work force, but nothing compares to hands on experience to really apply what you have learned. These experiences are not only out on a job, but in the classroom. UW Bothell professors always made it possible to attain in-depth learning facilitated through great methods such as class debates, seminars, and community based learning projects.

For me personally it was my exposure to the resources Career Services provides, making the opportunity to explore different career ideas endless. I would tell any current or future UW Bothell student to be open and honest with yourself about what you are interested in doing. If you are interested in everything, try it all out. I never thought I would be a business intern with a psych background, but UW Bothell is the perfect place with so many people supporting your goals to try anything you want. I would also say utilize all available services, everyone is there, waiting to help you be successful. I would have to attribute my current position as a Procurement Agent at Boeing to the large network of support that UW Bothell offers and their endless efforts to make every student valuable on a global level.
