My experience with UW Bothell was among the most transformative of my life. I learned to think critically, value differently, and how to make the world a better place. My world view changed tremendously because of the insightful discussions in the classroom and the impact of the powerful curriculum. The number one piece of advice I have: Go to class. Dialog helps reinforce the reading material and increases understanding beyond the written word. Taking the tests might help you pass but it is in the classroom where you really learn.

Just three weeks after graduation I found a position with a non-profit whose mission I support wholeheartedly and with a deep passion. My focus is on bringing economic equality to the LGBT community by raising visibility of LGBT owned and allied businesses in the Seattle area. The interdisciplinary aspect of my degree was highly sought after and all agree it was a key component of my interview success and resulting accomplishments in my position.
