Graduate Senator 

Student Government - UW Bothell

 

  • This is a hired position, applicants will not be asked to campaign.
  • Any student who will hold Graduate standing for at least 2 quarter during the 2016-17 academic year can apply for this position.

Applicants must be able to:

  • Attend ASUWB weekly meetings on Tuesdays from 5:45 pm- 7:45 pm Winter Quarter
  • Be available for an interview after application
  • Attend MANDATORY Spring training

It shall be the duty of each Senator to:

  • Attend ASUWB Student Government meetings and trainings;
  • Attend quarterly meetings with an ASUWB Advisor;
  • Make regular reports of Senate business available to their constituents;
  • Work with other members of the ASUWB Student Government to execute all ASUWB events;
  • Vote on legislation and action items that come up at ASUWB Student Government meetings;
  • Maintain at least six (6) hours per work week while ensuring that all work is completed;

Schedule and hold two (2) hour of publicly posted office hour per week during each of the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters; exceptions are allowed:

  • During finals week; and
  • In exceptional cases, when granted by the ASUWB Student Government.

Develop and implement surveying methods to get constituents involved, informed, and provide information for ASUWB representation on or off campus; and

Communicate weekly, outside of ASUWB Student Government meetings with Senator pairs regarding student outreach strategies and projects.

10 hrs per week stipend at $15 per hour.  (requires 3 publicly posted office hours, 2 hrs for weekly asuwb meeting, 5 hrs/week misc.)
