The UW Bothell Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Planning is currently hiring for a Student Assistant. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greet visitors to the Chancellor’s Office and provide excellent customer service; ensure a welcoming atmosphere for internal and external constituents, identifying ways in which they can be assisted, providing solutions if needed.
 
2. Maintain effective (primarily electronic) file management systems to include confidential files for the Vice Chancellor’s office in accordance with the University of Washington records management system.
 
3. Create and update presentation materials for the Vice Chancellors.
 
4. Prepare meeting materials for retreats, workshops, trainings, etc. as needed.
 
5. Review and update web content in Kentico (Content Management System) for the Administration & Planning website.
 
6. Back up scheduling for Vice Chancellors.
 
7. Maintain a level of confidentiality while conducting business.
 
8. Provide administrative support for the office of the Vice Chancellor of Administration & Planning and the Vice Chancellor for Advancement & External Relations:
− Perform routine and non-routine clerical duties
− Assist with preparing eventā€related materials: signage, nametags, promotional items, information packets, etc.
− Collect items for and assemble mailings (printing, collating, stuffing, sealing and mailing)
− Maintain cleanliness of the reception area
− Monitor conference room usage
− Report copier issues
− Maintain and update office supplies and materials inventory
− Accept mail and package delivery and distribute for the offices
 
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
-Currently enrolled UW Bothell student.
-Reliable and punctual, possessing good work ethic.
-Skills needed including: strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs, demonstrated ability to create presentations using PowerPoint or other graphics/presentation software.
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple high-priority work assignments.
-Strong customer service experience.
-Comfort in learning additional computer software.
-Comfort in following procedures independently and learning on the job.
-Pride in UW Bothell and commitment to the campus community. Ability to work with a diverse -constituency.
