Walter Freytag is Senior Lecturer and Associate Director of the Business Program. He earned his M. S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Dr. Freytag's professional experience is in the area of human resource management and development. He served as Manager of Management Development at the Frito Lay division of PepsiCo, and he has headed human resource departments at Penn State's Applied Research Laboratory and ATL Ultrasound (now a division of Philips Healthcare).
He teaches courses in leadership, team processes, work motivation and human resource management. Dr. Freytag is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Applied Psychological Society.
He has been engaged in the development of several organizations serving the community including Leadership Eastside, the Bellevue Entrepreneur Center, and the Business Development Center at UW Bothell. Currently he serves as on the board of directors of Leadership Eastside.
