Dr. Harman's research interests include employee retention, goals and motivation, leadership, gender issues and ethics/sustainability.  Dr. Harman's current research centers on job embeddedness, interruptions, and socialization of gender roles.  Dr. Harman's teaching interests include Leadership; Motivation; Negotiations; Organizational Change; and Business, Government and Society.  Her research has been published in Current Directions in Psychological Science and Advances in Attribution Theory.  Dr. Harman has also had her work accepted at several annual and biannual conferences: the Academy of Management; Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychologists; Business, Ethics and Society; International Association for Business and Society; Gender, Work, and Organisation; and the Institute of Behavioral and Applied Management.  Dr. Harman earned her Ph.D. from the University of Washington.
